How it works

How getting a business loan online works

Eight steps, no branch, no paperwork shuffle — and a real person on your file the whole way.

See if you qualify →No credit check to enquire

Here's the whole journey, from the first tap to funds in your account. Most of it takes minutes; the specialist handles the rest. If you want the detail behind any step, our how online lending works section explains each one.

  1. 1

    1. Send a 60-second enquiry

From your phone or laptop: how much, what for, how long you've traded, rough turnover and whether you own property. No credit check, no commitment.

  2. 2

    2. A real specialist follows up

Usually by phone, at a time that suits you. They get the full picture and tell you plainly what looks realistic — or what would change the answer.

  3. 3

    3. Share bank statements by secure link

If you decide to proceed, you approve a read-only link to your business account. It can't move money and you never share your password.

  4. 4

    4. Verify your identity with your phone

A photo of your licence or passport and a quick selfie. Every director, partner or guarantor completes their own check on their own device.

  5. 5

    5. Upload anything else that's needed

Only what your situation calls for — a supplier quote, recent BAS, an ATO statement or property details. Your specialist tells you exactly what.

  6. 6

    6. Assessment and approval

The lender reviews your file. A credit check usually happens at this stage, and your specialist tells you before it does.

  7. 7

    7. E-sign your documents

Read everything on screen, ask anything you like, then sign electronically. For property-secured loans, any witnessed step is flagged upfront.

  8. 8

    8. Funding

Funds are paid to your business account, or directly to a supplier or the ATO where that's agreed. Funding always follows approval.

  • A current driver licence or passport for each owner, director or guarantor
  • Your internet banking login, plus any token or second approver

Common questions

Do I ever need to visit a branch?

No. Every step happens online or by phone. Some property-secured loans include a document that needs a witness, which can usually be arranged locally — you'll know at the start.

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is usually part of the formal assessment later, and you'll be told before it happens.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. Your enquiry goes to one team who work on your situation. We don't spray your details around and wait to see who calls.

How long does it all take?

Your part can be done in a few short sessions. Overall timing depends on the loan, the amount and how quickly documents come back. Speed can be possible in the right circumstances, but funding always follows approval.

What if I get stuck on a step?

Call or email your specialist. They can talk you through the bank-statement link, the ID check or e-signing, or offer an alternative such as PDF statements.

Ready when you are

The enquiry takes about a minute. Please answer it as accurately as you can — it's what lets your specialist point you to the right option on the first call.
